Hello, I am lawyer Athiwat Chophuk, founder of the website http://www.athiwatlawyer.com. I am a lawyer and executive of Athiwat Law Firm Co., Ltd. in Samut Prakan, Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Chonburi, and Samut Sakhon. I am also a former member of the Lawyers Council of Samut Prakan Province for 2 terms.
Before becoming a lawyer, I was a child from the countryside. My dream was to be a successful businessman. However, during my childhood, my father enjoyed making illegal liquor and was arrested by excise officials, receiving numerous fines.
After graduating with a vocational certificate, I enrolled at Ramkhamhaeng University. My father wanted me to enroll in the Faculty of Law, or the Law Program, to become a police officer, prosecutor, or judge. So, I enrolled at Ramkhamhaeng University.
In 1990, after graduating with a bachelor’s degree, I enrolled at the Thai Bar Association. After one semester, I realized that I didn’t like working in the civil service, whether as a police officer, prosecutor, or judge.
Finally, in 1991, I took the legal training offered by the Lawyers Council of Thailand. In 1992, I passed the Lawyers Council’s legal training course and received my legal license in 1992. I have had 28 years of legal experience since then.
I have been practicing law continuously since 1992.
